Holland's Prince Pieter-Christiaan van Oranje Nassau, married commoner Anita van Eijk in a civil ceremony at Apedoorn's Palace Het Loo on August 25, and is now to leave the Royal house

Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, his aunt, has attended the ceremony, together with Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende, while Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Maxima were absent from the civil proceedings, according to Dutch newspaper Expatica, but they have attended the couple's church wedding in Noordwijk. Prince Friso and his wife, Mabel have also missed the nuptials.

Prince Pieter-Christiaan, 33, must leave the Dutch Royal house, as he did not seek for the parliament's consent. The prince believed it was unlikely he would ever succeed to the throne, he has been too far down the list of heirs

Next in line to the Dutch throne is Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, followed by his two young daughters, Princess Amalia and Princess Alexia. (UPI)
