A wreath goes over the “O” in Holland and a Christmas tree was supposed to cover the “A”

I came across this funny picture of the Holland tunnel all nice and Christmasy, however the sign above it seems a bit off.

Jalopnik posted the hilarious photo of the sign that goes above the tunnel, which I guess was meant to be decorated with a wreath over the “O” letter and a Christmas tree covering the “A.”

The tree was moved to the side, over the “N,” as if whoever put it up there wasn't informed about what they were supposed to be doing.

The Holland Tunnel connects Manhattan to Jersey City, New Jersey. It used to be called the Hudson River Vehicular Tunnel or the Canal Street Tunnel, as it is located under the Hudson. Its construction began in 1920 and ended in 1927.
