Mother of three pushes up daisies thanks to KDND

It seems impossible but it happened: mother of three children, Jenifer Strange died of water intoxication after participating in radio station's KDND contest "Hold your wee for a Wii".The contest rules were to drink as many eight-ounce bottles of water as you could and whoever drank the most would win a Nintendo Wii game console.

According to one of the contestants, the woman drank at least five bottles in the first hour and even more afterwards. After the contest, Mrs. Strange was complaining of a severe headache, her co-worker at Radiological Associates of Sacramento said: "She was crying and that was the last anyone had heard from her".

She was found dead in her home, a few hours after the contest. Strange talked to fellow contestant Ybarra during the contest about her three kids back home and how she was doing it for them.

Water intoxication is a potentially disturbance in brain function (that explaining the headache)when the normal balance of electrolytes in the body is pushed outside of safe limits by very rapid water intake.

No one knows for sure how many bottles of water she consumed so water intoxication is just the preliminary report. Everyone is waiting for further information concerning Strange's death. Whoever came up with the "brilliant" contest rules is probably feeling sorry now.

Ok, we all know that "Wiimote" was the main reason for accidents as far as the console is concerned, but it seems that all kinds of accidents and mishaps keep surrounding the Wii-frenzy.
