Woman caller Eva did warn on how contestants may die from "water intoxication"

I'm surely one of many who comment on the stupidity of those at California's KDND radio station who never took into consideration all the mishaps that could have occurred with their "Hold Your Wee For A Wii" contest. I just listened for the first time to the actual recording of the contest 5 minutes ago and I have to say that "irresponsible" is just too good a word to describe the DJs attitude towards Jenifer Strange, the woman who died of "water intoxication."

The recording, which by the way can be found here, is carefully divided into several sections of the dialog between Jenifer Strange and the station's staff. They clearly show that with each passing hour, Jenifer's condition was getting worse and worse. All that the staff was concerned about was rating, as the only thing they did was laugh constantly and make stupid statements like "we're not responsible," if anything was to happen, even when they saw that Jenifer was in a pretty bad shape.

Having consumed an estimated two gallons of water in an attempt to win a Nintendo console for her children, Jenifer Strange dropped out of the contest due to a severe headache. Little did she know that it was the first symptom of "water intoxication."

Although a couple of hours into the contest a woman caller named Eva tried to draw attention on the fact that drinking too much water can in fact cause "water intoxication," none of the DJs took her statement seriously: "Those people that are drinking all that water can get sick and possibly die from water intoxication." The only words stuck in my brain are "we're not responsible." The woman died several hours later at her house.

For those who don't know the whole story, Jenifer was the mother of three kids and winning that Wii for them was the exact reason why she entered the contest in the first place. All the KDND radio station did was to fire 10 staff members responsible for the game show.
