Headshot!

Things are getting worse by the day, cyber-crime is growing larger and, if until now, there were only a few computer-crimes here and there, nowadays, it has escalated to levels we've never imagined. And it's rough out there! After reading this English translation of a piece of news from Russia, I learned that another spammer has been offed by a hitman in their country. If this is true, it would be the second time such a thing happens, as Varand Kushnir, spammer too, was assassinated back in 2005.

As the same source informs, Alexey Tolstokozhev had been known to spam a lot, as he alone, had been held responsible for up to 30% of all the pharmaceutical/penis enlargement spam. 30 percent is huge, if we're talking about a single person! He was found dead in his house near Moscow, shot several times, with one bullet in the head, as seen in the same translation. However, some of my peers have been researching into this and found nothing about Alexey Tolstokozhev anywhere on the web, so the possibility of all this being but a hoax has just popped up!

A great spammer is presumed dead - if you're familiar with similar murder cases in Russia, then you know that the last bullet to the head is a mark of Russian hitmen. And here are some speculations on this matter - who would kill such a person? Well, there is the possibility of one of the annoyed spam targets to have ordered the hit, but I doubt it. In my opinion, when such a crime happens, there is usually more behind it. It would be no wonder if the infamous Russian Business Network could get involved with such things.

If you look at other crime cases, then you've noticed that criminal organizations don't let the small criminals do their job and tell them to either join the bigger organization or stop?or die? I consider that this just might be the case (if proved true). Cyber-crime is making a lot of money, getting organized and I don't think this is going to be the last case of a computer-criminal getting killed by a hired gun!
