The Hitman franchise will see the release of a new movie, as a new report claims that Fox wants to release a fresh adaptation of the popular video game series called simply Agent 47, and Paul Walker, of Fast & Furious fame, will play the leading role.

Hitman games have delivered some great experiences over the years, including the recent Hitman: Absolution.

The franchise also saw the release of a pretty impressive movie back in 2007, starring Timothy Olyphant, but now Fox wants to reboot the series with a whole new leading man, in the form of Paul Walker, who's famous for playing a racer in The Fast & The Furious franchise.

The new movie will be called simply Agent 47, according to Deadline, and will see Walker play the bald assassin.

The film is directed by rookie Aleksander Bach, who previously handled only commercials, while the script is penned by Michael Finch and Skip Woods. Woods also wrote the screenplay for the 2007 Hitman movie.

Filming is expected to start this summer and will shoot in locations like Berlin or Singapore.
