Hitachi announced the launch of two more multimedia projectors, the CP-X205 and the CP-X305 3-LCD based projectors, expanding this way the total number of its multimedia offering as the new models cone to supplement the CP-X200 and the CP-X300 products that lack network support.

Apart from being network enabled because of the RJ-45 port that supports Ethernet connections, the CP-X205 3LCD projector features a high level of brightness of 2,200 ANSI lumens which makes it perfect even for professional use and because of its light weight of only 4 kilograms it is easy to transport. The CP-X305 projector is more powerful featuring a brightness level of 2,600 ANSI lumens while keeping the same weight level. Advanced networking connectivity is available for it too thanks to the Ethernet compatible port that allows the unit to be controlled from remote locations.

The two new Hitachi projectors use the older and popular 4:3 aspect ratio and in order to offer a high degree of image clarity they used the XGA resolution of 1024x768. Input options are limited to 2 RGB cables while presets can be stores thanks to the MyScreen and MyMemory functions. Remote access is also possible via a supplied remote control which integrates Hitachi's MyButtons function. In order to provide a good multimedia experience, both projectors have a low noise functioning level of only 29dB, as well as 1:1.2 manual zoom, and digital keystone correction. "We have seen an increasing demand for networked presentation systems in all fixed-install applications, from schools to corporate environments to houses of worship," said Pete Denes, vice president of sales, Hitachi America, Ltd., Ubiquitous Business Platform Systems Division, Business Group, who was cited by the site hdtvinfo.eu. "The Hitachi CP-X205 and CP-X305 3LCD projectors address this need while providing the unmatched versatility and performance characteristic of Hitachi's complete projector line."

The CP-X205 and CP-X305 3LCD projectors are easy to maintain and service as they feature a side mounted filter and top door lamp. There are also a number of additional features included for increased usability, such as Input Source Naming, component /composite/ S-Video inputs, and digital gamma correction as well as a security bar, Kensington security slot and transition detector which is basically a sensor that can detect projector's movements. For a complete audio and video presentation, both Hitachi 3LCD projectors offer a 7W audio output.
