However, mini-series is still a huge hit for the network

“The Bible” series on the History Channel is drawing to an end, with the most recent episode, which comes right after the one with the much talked about Satan – Obama similarity, recording a drop in ratings.

The Wrap notes that, even if the drop is due to the similarity, which got many talking about how the show’s producers must have some kind of “secret agenda,” it wasn’t enough to make the show be any less of a hit for the network.

“Sunday's fourth edition of ‘The Bible’ had 10.3 million total viewers, making it the most-watched show on television from 8-10 p.m. It had 3.4 million viewers in the key 18-49 demo,” The Wrap reports.

“That was down just a bit from the episode last week featuring the devil. It had 10.9 million total viewers and 3.5 million in the demo,” adds the same media outlet.

As I noted on a previous occasion as well, both the network and the producers said that any similarity between the President of the United States and Satan (as portrayed by Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni, above) was a coincidence.
