Hipsters from the Distant Future Reminisce About the Good Old Days

Social media is all the rage right now. It's new and fresh, it sounds trendy and maybe a bit complicated to the average Joe. But everything gets old, even social media hipsters. Luckily for them, being old is still in the future so they can make fun of it.

Because what's more ironic than making fun of social media and hipsters in an ad for social media aimed at, well, hipsters and the people making fun of them, not necessarily two different things.

"In the year 2062, a bunch of elderly hipsters are interviewed about the good old days of social media," the video's description reads. "Created for Social Media Week 2012, this video captures interviews with octogenarian hipsters as they take a look back on what social media and digital culture were back in the day," it says.

Still, for an ad for Social Media Week, it doesn't pull any punches and makes fun of everything from useless apps to community managers.
