She's won Grammys, she' done incredible duets, she sang about riches and luxurious life style, but now hip hip singer Eve finds herself in a bit of an unpleasant situation. As it happens, Eve managed to amass a debt of over $327,000 (€240,224) to the Internal Revenue Service.

The sum represents money owned in unpaid taxes for a period of more than three years. The former member of the Ruff Ryders group has two separate liens against her filed in New York over these tax debts.

From the looks of things, the 35-year-old singer has gone quite some time without paying taxes, and now it's coming back and piling up. Radar has obtained the court documents and has the numbers.

Eve, real name Eve Jeffers, owed $12, 971.08 (€9,528.94) for the year of 2007, $181,875.53 (€133,611) for the year of 2010 and $30,141.34 (€22,142.7) for 2011 – making the grand total a staggering $224,987.95 (€165,283).

Add to that a second lien which was imposed on her by the Federal Government in 2012 after an audit. This time, it was reported that Eve failed to pay $102,084.30 (€74,994.2) in taxes for the year of 2012, which means that she now has to pay $327,000 (€240,224).

Interestingly, the singer has just gotten engaged over Christmas with Maximillion Cooper, a wealthy entrepreneur who also does some racing and skateboarding on the side.

His net worth is $50 million (€36,7 million) and now it looks as though some of that money is going to go to the evil tax man to make good on the debts.

The couple got engaged during a trip to Scotland on Christmas Day and it's not known if Mr. Maximillion knew at the time the financial distress his fiancée was in. As it stands, it looks like Eve won't be singing about bling anytime soon.
