Hinterland was one of the nicest small, overlooked games of last year. It didn't look too good, it didn't offer any complex world to explore but it managed to mix a dungeon crawler and a city builder while offering enough variety and management options to keep players occupied for a quite a few hours.

Now, Got Game Entertainment and Tilted Mill are announcing that they plan to release an updated version of the game in North America on March 25. The title is set to cost just 19.99 dollars and interested players will be able to download it from the official site or buy it from a brick and mortar store.

The basic concept of Hinterland is maintained in Orc Lands. As a subject of the king, you have been tasked with conquering a wild region and creating a prosperous settlement. You can only achieve this objective by drawing people to your village, defeating the various enemies spread around the map, getting access to resources, developing new items, weapons and armor.

Howard Horowitz, who is the president of Got Game Entertainment, pointed out to the main addition coming in Orc Lands by stating that “Now, more than ever, we’re all looking for the most value for our dollar, and ‘Hinterland: Orc Lords’ brings it with hours of entertainment, fantasy, and escape for just 20 bucks. Strategize, roleplay, and replay as a Human and then do it again as an Orc Lord or Shaman.”

The variety of the game is even greater than in the original release. More people can be drawn to your village to settle there and become productive, there are more items that can be crafted and then equipped and used, plus more fantasy-based threats to the wellbeing of your village. Hinterland is really a small gem filled with replayability and Orc Lands is set to expand on that aspect.
