It turns out that “The Faces of Microsoft” campaign was less of a publicity stunt, and more of a prank that pushed the modeling capabilities of a range of softies to the extreme.

“The Faces of Microsoft” video is a very special episode of the Tech with Tina channel, presented by Tina Wood Summerfold. Undoubtedly, some Softpedia readers might remember the very talented Tina from a range of videos focused on the Redmond company, some of which also extremely funny.

The latest video is simply must-watch content, since “The Faces of Microsoft” worked to perfection, with hilarious results.

Tina worked with Microsoft’s Dan Fernandez in order to convince a range of softies, including some rather prominent figures, that a new marketing campaign needed their participation.

“Microsoft has always had a history of pranks and well, sometimes you just need to play jokes on your colleagues. For this prank, Dan and I set up a fake photo shoot with the premise that they will be part of a new Microsoft campaign called The Faces of Microsoft. It's of course all made up, but watch and see just how far we can push the envelope,” Tina said.

I embedded the prank video at the bottom of this article, but users can also head over to Channel 9 and watch it there. Yes, I know it’s in Silverlight, just quit whining and install the plug-in already, I promise, it’s worth it.

I just finished watching it and it provided me with the best laughs since The Hangover II. I simply loved the bits with Major Nelson.

For those that don’t know, Major Nelson, is actually Larry Hryb, the Director of Programming for the Microsoft gaming network Xbox Live. At one point in the video, Hryb is spanking a very bad horse wearing a cowboy hat and talking on the phone, but Major Nelson also does other crazy stuff. Watch the video and see for yourselves.
