The family-friendly videogame series that tries to offer teens all over the world a better alternative to the extremely violent games available on the market will return to the Nintendo DS in Code Lyoko: Fall of X.A.N.A. The game is based on the animated TV series and it is being developed by The Game Factory, which promises to launch it sometime in June 2008.

Code Lyoko: Fall of X.A.N.A. brings a brand new roleplaying experience and newly-designed game characters in the 3D world of Lyoko. The story, based on the fourth season of the TV show, unfolds as William is being held captive somewhere on Lyoko by the evil virus X.A.N.A. Players will begin a challenging adventure to destroy the virus and finally set their friend free.

"Once again, we feel very proud to be partnering with Taffy to deliver a new sequel to the Code Lyoko video game universe. Responding to the success of the first installment, we felt compelled to give fans a new take on interacting with their favorite characters," said Leah Kalboussi, Vice President at The Game Factory. "With Code Lyoko: Fall of X.A.N.A, the role-playing experience is a natural evolution to developing the franchise, offering a deeper immersion into the Code Lyoko lifestyle."

The game comes with some fully customizable characters with upgradeable attacks, powers, functions and virtual items and you will easily control them using Nintendo's stylus. You will also get the chance to use subterranean vehicles in your fight against the enemies in the Digital Sea that comes to you with no less than 100 different battle arenas. Code Lyoko: Fall of X.A.N.A. also features 4 different multiplayer modes, such as normal, handicap, bet & challenge. It will definitely be a must have for both turn based lovers and fans of the animated series.
