Many people might not know what 1000x means, but photographers probably do. In short, 1000x CompactFlash cards are the fastest found on the market so far.

Lacking any flash name, the new cards from Transcend, four in number, offer 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB of storage capacity.

They can record video at at least 20 MB/s without dropping frames but can go much higher than that.

In fact, the maximum writing speed is of 120 MB/s, while the reading speed is of 160 MB/s.

Transcend sells the cards for $109.99 / 85-109.99 Euro (16 GB), $229.99 / 177-229.99 (32 GB), $459.99 / 355-459.99 Euro (64 GB), and $749.99 / 580-749.99 Euro.

All of them possess built-in BCH ECC (Error Correction Code) technology with read-retry (detect and correct errors while moving data).
