A high-school student scored a halftime goal that came with a special prize during a California game.

Invictus Igwe took a chance and scored a field goal from 40 yards (36.6 meters) during the halftime competition.

Simi Valley High, of California, were playing rivals Royal High, also of Simi Valley. The game ended with a win for Royal High, who beat their opponents 50 to 49. It was a remarkable, triple overtime that they won.

Igwe had the most to win, as his winning halftime goal brought him a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro, which is worth roughly $24,000 (€17,500).

According to MaxPreps, Igwe even lost his shoe when he threw the powerful kick. The shoe slipped off and flew 10 yards (9.2 meters) down the field.
