The High School Musical television phenomenon has become such a globally acclaimed product that we are not at all surprised by the fact that the game series is going to receive another member to the family - the third one, to be exact. This time, presenting a senior-year extravaganza, Disney Interactive's product will be released, as everybody expects, on most major gaming formats: Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS and PC systems. Of course, retailers will receive the game right on time for Christmas.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year DANCE! will be the full name of the product and the game, just like the previous iterations, will allow players to dance along with their favorite characters and listen to the best songs from the three movies.

"We're building on the success of last year's line up of 'High School Musical' video games with new immersive extensions to the hit property," said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. "We'll continue to bring exciting and fresh interactive experiences to 'High School Musical' fans everywhere, delivering new storylines, characters and songs."

In this rhythm-based game, players can take the role of Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad or Taylor or can customize their own Wildcat character. Also, the title comes with different multiplayer modes, (including competitive and co-op). Together with these fun dancing games, the High School Musical 3 video game will feature trivia-based quizzes so that players can see whose Wildcat personality they match, so to say.

The title will be released just a bit after the High School Musical 3 is launched in theaters, this time! The movie will present the now-seniors Troy and Gabriella facing the prospect of being separated, as they head off in different directions to college. Joined by the rest of the Wildcats, they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes and fears about the future. Oh, so sweet!
