Blizzard has just revealed a brand new hero spotlight feature for its upcoming Heroes of the Storm multiplayer online battle arena title, this time focusing on Tyrael, the archangel of justice who first appeared in the Diablo series.

Heroes of the Storm promises to bring together some of the most famous and infamous heroes and villains from across Blizzard's many franchises, merging universes like Starcraft, Warcraft, or Diablo.

Blizzard already confirmed a basic list of characters and a few upcoming ones have leaked once the technical closed alpha went live last month.

Now, after a successful April Fools joke presenting Pajamathur as a barebone version of Abathur, the studio has decided to focus on one of the actual heroes from HotS, in the form of Tyrael.

Diablo fans already know the archangel of justice really well after his appearances in Diablo 2, 3, and the recent Reaper of Souls expansion, but Blizzard decided to once again make his presentation on the official website.

"Wielder of El’druin, the Sword of Justice, the Archangel Tyrael is a force of righteousness who hails from the Diablo universe. In Heroes of the Storm, the Archangel of Justice takes on the role of a stalwart Warrior who fights valiantly against the nefarious forces of the Burning Hells…and enemy heroes alike," the studio said.

Quite a few interesting abilities are included for the new hero, including Punishing Blade, Righteousness, Hand of Sacrifice, and Sanctification, so check out their descriptions and a few tips about their best use below.

- Tyrael’s "Punishing Blade" [Q] causes a slow and a small amount of damage. This can be used to delay an objective until teammates can make their way into position. - Tyrael’s "Righteousness" [W] is both a shield and a source of damage. Make sure to use it when diving deep into a battle. - On the Haunted Mines Battleground, using Tyrael’s talent "Sanctification" [R] on the Golem when it begins to die off can zone out enemies, while allowing teammates to grab the skulls! - Careful using "Hand of Sacrifice" [E] on cloaked allies, it could tell the opponents where your hidden allies are!

Besides the different abilities and his description, Blizzard also showcased two special skins for Tyrael, including a Demonic version that looks really menacing, and a Seraphim edition.
