Expect more gold when reaching player and hero levels

Blizzard confirms that it's going to bring more free gold for Heroes of the Storm players at various levels, not to mention better incentives to take heroes to new levels, including fresh talents besides the master skin.

Heroes of the Storm appeared last year as a closed technical alpha stage and saw it evolve into a closed beta back in January, when it got more maps, mechanics, and, of course, heroes. Since then, Blizzard has brought forth more improvements to the multiplayer game but some complaints from players persisted, relating to the heroes or the limited free gold that was up for grabs.

Blizzard is bringing more free gold and better progression

The studio now confirms on its website that it's monitored all this feedback and that, in the next major update, Heroes of the Storm will handle progression in a better way, while offering more free gold.

More specifically, reaching certain player account levels will bring forth a free 7-day stimpack that produces more XP. Players can also take their heroes up to level 20, instead of being limited to level 10, and fresh incentives will motivate them to do so, according to Blizzard.

What's more, players who reach account level 30 won't have to worry about grinding levels with their new heroes, as upon reaching that milestone, there will be no talent gating, meaning they'll access all available options for their free and owned characters.

More importantly, new free gold rewards are also coming to Heroes of the Storm. As such, when reaching levels 20, 25, 30, 35, or 40, players will get a free 2000 gold reward. Reaching hero level 15 brings an additional 1250 gold, while level 20 has a whopping 2500 gold reward attached to it.

As such, you can expect to get more free gold and other rewards once the new incentive system arrives in Heroes of the Storm through the upcoming major patch. Unfortunately, there's no release date attached to it, so it's unclear when players can enjoy these goodies.
