14 DAY TRIAL // Blizzard confirms that it's just rolled out a brand new hotfix update for Heroes of the Storm, its popular multiplayer game, in order to drastically improve the reconnect system, while solving a few glitches that happened when certain abilities were used, such as Zeratul's Void Prison.
Heroes of the Storm got its closed beta last month, and since then, Blizzard has brought forth a couple of big patches designed to alter the balance of the actual game's heroes, while solving major glitches and issues.
Now, a fresh hotfix has just been brought forth by Blizzard, according to the official forums, and it targets specific mechanics like the reconnect system, not to mention errors that popped up in some situations.
Reconnecting to matches should be much easier and faster
First up, Blizzard confirms that the reconnect mechanic has been drastically improved. As such, players should expect to rejoin ongoing matches in a faster manner, and things can improve even more in the future, as the studio will continue to examine it.
"The Reconnect System has received several improvements, which should help players more quickly rejoin in-progress Heroes matches from which they’ve disconnected. The Reconnect System will continue to undergo evaluation going forward, and further improvements will be implemented as necessary with future updates," it mentions.
Several reconnect bugs, which caused multiple prompts to rejoin a match that's already ended, or one that prevented players from actually controlling their hero after reconnecting, have also been remedied. A crash that happened while playing on the Garden of Terror battleground should no longer pop up thanks to the hotfix.
Several issues relating to heroes like Zeratul, Brightwing, Raynor, the Lost Vikings, or Chen have also been eliminated, and players should no longer exploit a user interface glitch that allowed them to access the bonus free hero rotation slots before reaching the required levels.
