Blizzard has just revealed a fresh batch of information, screenshots, and footage about the next additions to Heroes of the Storm, its multiplayer brawler. These include the Butcher character, the Battlefield of Eternity map based on Diablo 3, as well as a few other things.

Heroes of the Storm saw its final version debut at the beginning of the month worldwide, allowing anyone with a Battle.net account to play and enjoy the impressive online title.

Its debut was accompanied by the release of a new hero, in the form of Johanna the Diablo 3 Crusader, and a few other tweaks and changes.

Over the weekend, Blizzard confirmed that the next hero would be Diablo 3's Butcher, whereas the next map is also based on the dungeon crawler and is called Battlefield of Eternity.

The major update launches on June 30 and has details

Now, the studio shares on its blog a few fresh details about the major update for Heroes of the Storm, which includes the Butcher and the other big additions.

First up, the content patch is going to debut on June 30 worldwide, so players won't have to wait all that long for the fresh hero and map.

As you can see in the screenshots, artwork, and video below, Battlefield of Eternity combines the angelic and diabolic themes seen in Diablo 3 to produce a very interesting design. Players will have to defeat Fallen Shaman and Hound mercenaries in order to enlist their help, while an Immortal boss neutral stands at the center of the map.

Meanwhile, the Butcher can deploy an array of abilities taken from his Diablo 3 incarnation, including summoning a Furnace Blast as his Heroic ability or using his hook to reel in targets.

Check out the impressive screenshots with the menacing Assassin-class character in Heroes of the Storm below. Look forward to his debut at the end of the month.
