14 DAY TRIAL // Hilary Duff has been taking a long hiatus from the music industry but she’s ready now to unveil her latest endeavor to the world. Her comeback single is “Chasing the Sun,” and it has an official video now.

Paparazzi photos of Hilary on the beach emerged online some time ago, and because most media outlets chose to focus on her amazing, fit figure (she is looking good, trust me!), few actually stopped to wonder about what she was doing there. As it turns out, she was shooting for the music video.
The song is called “Chasing the Sun” and the video is the perfect visual companion for it, a true summer music video if I ever saw one.
Hilary plays this desk worker who is sick and tired of burying herself in her work, in her tiny cubicle with just a hamster for a pet, every day – but she’s never felt worse about it than she does now, when it’s summer and everyone is at the beach.
So she allows herself to daydream, which, in turn, makes her act very silly and absolutely unprofessional around the office. When she pours water on her bosses and colleagues in the conference room, she finally gets the boot.
“Chasing the Sun” was written by Colbie Caillat and it’s a decent comeback song. The video is light and fun, but it’s not exactly my cup of tea. I can’t help but feel like Hilary could have done better than this… perhaps by not acting like she’s 16-18 all over again. What about you? Do you like it?
