14 DAY TRIAL // Apple has confirmed the name of the app that marked its 50 billion downloads milestone, along with the winner of the company’s $10,000/€7,768 iTunes Gift Card.
In a press release issued minutes ago, Apple states, “The 50 billionth app was Say the Same Thing by Space Inch, LLC, which was downloaded by Brandon Ashmore from Mentor, Ohio who received a $10,000 App Store Gift Card to commemorate this historic milestone.”
Say the Same Thing is an original, turn-by-turn word game where you have to think like your friends to win.
You start by entering a random word (both you and your buddy) and then you each try to guess a word that connects the two – “something they both have in common, or a bridge between them,” says the developer.
The screenshots above provide an example of how the game works. Needless to point out, the app is free to download and play on any iDevice running iOS 4.3. Go ahead and try it out yourself.
I’d like to personally congratulate Space Inch, LLC for their achievement, and I’m sure their cool word game will pick up some serious Steam, having been directly responsible for Apple’s 50 billion downloads landmark.
