If we are to trust all unofficial reports talking about Surface RT’s sales performance, Microsoft’s first tablet in history is nothing more than a disappointing device that until now failed to meet expectations.

And still, data provided by AdDuplex reveals that the Surface RT is currently the most popular Windows 8 device on the market, with a market share of 7.6 percent.

According to the report, these statistics are based on ad impressions recorded in the first two weeks of this month, just after the holiday season.

While the Microsoft Surface with Windows RT tablet is clearly the leader in this category, HP Pavilion g6 comes second with 4.2 percent, while HP 2000 is third with 3 percent.

The good news is that Windows 8 has reportedly been detected on more than 7,400 different devices this month, so the number of manufacturers embracing Microsoft’s latest operating system is continuously growing.

Anybody who buys this dog has to be crazy. ARM isn't going to last as a platform, and the Surface RT will go the way of the Kin. By Christmas 2013, nobody will be talking about it. And the ugliness and unintuitivness of Windows 8 will largely be to blame.
