Taylor Swift has never made a secret of the fact that she’s an old soul even though she’s only 24. She loves to knit, to go apple picking, to bake and she already has 2 cats, one of which is called Olivia Benson, after her favorite character on “Law & Order: SVU.”

Olivia is a more peculiar-looking cat because she’s a Scottish Fold, which means she has huge eyes and ears that look as if they’d been clipped. On BBC’s The Graham Norton Show over the weekend, Taylor and comedian John Cleese seemed to get into a “fight” over Olivia and her “unfortunate” looks.

At least, that’s what several media outlets, The Wrap among them, would have you believe. I think that, as you can see in the video below, Taylor is in on the joke and is actually having a lot of fun with Cleese and Norton.

The only reason she seems “offended” at first is because she doesn’t hear what Cleese is saying but, once she gets the joke, she’s happy to play along.

Taylor Swift gets enough negative attention as it is, both from the media and bloggers / celebrity pundits. There's really no reason to cause controversy where there’s nothing controversial going on, like this interview on a famous comedy show.

Taylor may be immature about a lot of things (allegedly, of course), but she’s been around the block for long enough to know not to take offense when someone makes fun of her cat, whether out of malice or not. Check out the video below, and do let me know in the comment section if you agree.
