A first glance at the the user interface of Apple’s new music production software

Apple today introduced Logic Pro X, a brand new version of the company’s pro-level music production software for Macs (and a little bit for iPads too).

Featuring a range of new features like Drummer, Flex Pitch, Track Stacks, and the Arpeggiator, “Logic Pro X is our most powerful version yet, with advanced tools and a modern new interface designed to streamline the process of creating professional quality music,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

The software has a modern new look and a streamlined interface, which provides access to advanced tools and functionality when more technical tasks are in order, and tucks these tools away when the musician needs to focus on being creative, Apple says.

The company has yet to release the software in the Mac App Store, while the official Logic Pro section on Apple’s site is currently down.

This trio of marketing materials is pretty much the only thing that shows what Logic Pro X looks like. I’ll be back with more information on Logic Pro X in a separate post.
