Yesterday I only brought you the Ativ 9 Plus Ultrabook, but that's just half of the announcement that Samsung published.

The other half consists of information on the Ativ Tab 3 Windows 8 tablet.

With a thickness of 0.31 inches / 7.84 mm and a weight of 1.28 pounds / 580 grams, the 10.1-inch device relies on an Intel Atom Z2760 dual-core CPU (1.8 GHz) and 2 GB of DDR3 memory.

64 GB of SSD storage are included, along with two cameras (720p HD front, 2.0 MP HD back) and a 400 nits SuperBright LCD with LED backlighting, HD resolution (1366 x 768 pixels), and 5-pint multitouch.

Samsung even ships an S-pen with the slate, good for use with Office Home & Student software. The pen has 1,000 pressure sensitivity levels.

Samsung Ativ Tab 3 will be selling from September 1 onwards for $699.99 / €524.
