The folks over at Ubiapps have just published what appears to be the first application that allows Windows Phone users to create customized ringtones from text.

You may be wondering how that is even possible. Well, it’s a clever idea that follows a very simple pattern. In order to create ringtones from text, the application called Talking Tones converts any text to speech audio.

With the text converted to speech audio, there’s just one step that you must follow to obtain your desired ringtone. Simply save the audio as ringtone and you’re done.

Talking Tones comes with a few other features that allow Windows Phone users to improve the quality of the ringtone by adjusting the volume, pitch and rate. That will change the speech audio file the way you want and the results may be funny in some cases.

For the time being, the application supports 20 languages, including English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. It is also worth mentioning that you will be able to create unlimited ringtones with this application.

Users can now download Talking Tones for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. Keep in mind that the application is compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 7.5 and up.
