The Walking Dead, Halo 4, and Borderlands 2 win big at the 2012 VGAs

The 2012 Spike TV Video Game Awards have just ended and there have been quite a few surprise winners this year both in big categories, like game of the year, and in other ones, like best graphics.

While the Spike TV Video Game Awards aren't actually the biggest distinction a game can get, they do bring titles into the attention of its mainstream audience and certainly give the winners in each of its category a boost in popularity and sales.

The 2012 edition of the VGAs has just ended and plenty of surprise winners were revealed, starting right with the Game of the Year winner - The Walking Dead: The Game, who beat out Assassin's Creed 3, Dishonored, Journey, and Mass Effect 3.
