Here Are the Retail Releases for the Week

Resistance: Burning Skies, the Sony shooter for the PlayStation Vita handheld, is finally launching this week, meaning that the overall sales numbers for the much troubled device might get a boost in the coming weeks.

Otherwise, the launch schedule is pretty barren, as gamers continue to play Diablo III, the action and role-playing mix from Blizzard, which is already setting records on the PC, and Max Payne 3, the third-person shooter from Rockstar and Take Two.

The video game world is also preparing for its long summer transition, which will allow players to catch up on older games before the fall launch season.
