The PlayStation Network saw the release of a large variety of independent games in 2011 so, in order to help people sort them out, Sony has made a few lists of the best selling indie titles on the online network, including those that were published by the studios themselves or with the help of the Japanese company.

Sony is adamant in supporting independent developers on its platforms, and has once again highlighted the variety of efforts it’s been doing to help studios which have just started in the business get their games onto PlayStation platforms.

In order to highlight the breakaway hits of the year, the company has now made a couple of top ten lists, showcasing the most successful titles that appear on its online service.

In terms of games published straight by their indie developers, Playdead’s Limbo reigns supreme, followed by The Behemoth’s Castle Crashers and Creat Studios’ TestYourself Psychology. 1. Fat princess was lots of fun :) Great concept!
2. Flower was very enjoyable, esp. with drugs added in; very peaceful game :D
3. Castle crashes...entertaining for like a day with friends, but there's no depth really
4. Dungeon defenders: one of my fav titles on this list! Great hybrid of action RPG and tower defense that makes you think but also lets you cut loose :D AND 4 player co-op!
5. Worms 2 is always fun, play this lots with friends :)

I'd also suggest dungeon hunter alliance if the game weren't so full of bugs, but the gameplay itself is really fun.

I don't play many "traditional" titles on the ps3 because I find very few have 4 player local co-op...
