Rihanna is one hot looking babe, and I really love her to death - she's got a good voice, looks absolutely terrific, she's young and full of energy. But I really have to say that someone should be either fired or severely fined in the "choice of clothes" department. The beautiful Barbadian singer performed at a concert at the SECC in Glasgow, UK last Friday - and came on stage wearing this atrocious S&M outfit that... well, pretty much speaks for itself. I mean yes, I know that Rihanna has shown a liking for the kinky stuff - remember when she appeared at one concert a couple of months back wearing THIS OUTFIT? Well, this time she gave up the tutu and stripped all the way to a leather harness and some pretty hard-core tranny boots, not to mention a provocative shade of lipstick and an attitude to match.
So, what is it that attracts Rihanna to the kinky side? Well, I do remember one interview with her a while ago in which she talked about how she liked to dress up and play different parts on stage. And let me tell you, she really overdid herself this time. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm complaining too much - but fashion-wise, her outfit is a no-show. Really. Everything from the boots to the bra to the hairstyle to the lipstick screams "cheap" and if Rihanna is not one thing, then she's not cheap. Her music is greatly appreciated, she's a talented and prolific actress, blessed with great looks. She also managed to successfully survive that transition from teenage kid to sex symbol and not get lost in drugs and alcohol along the way.
Britney did that too - but right at the point where she released "Toxic" and everyone was talking about just how sexy and sweet the pop princess was, disaster hit - and I will not go into any more details, since I know you're all aware of what I'm talking about. But for Rihanna, the transition was smooth, and it all worked out just fine, at least for now. So, where does the kinky outfit come in? Well, maybe it was all an expression of that darker side of her that never had a chance to manifest itself, given that the singer was such a good girl - and didn't "go bad" anywhere, except when she chose this S&M attire. So, our advice - less kinky-rough, more sexy-kinky and she should be just fine.
