Should already be available for roughly 40 and 30 Euro, respectively

Cameras have been coming out in force recently, but Hercules decided to pay special mind to web-connected ones in this case, building not one but two webcams.

When the Internet gained a wide and stable enough bandwidth for audio and video data to be properly relayed through it, cyberspace practically started to advance in leaps and bounds.

The appearance of those small things called webcams was a predictable enough consequence of it all.

It now seems that a pair of webcams is exactly what Hercules figured it may as well launch, giving them the names of HD Sunset and HD Exchange.

Design-wise, they both look more or less identical, and even their product bundles are similar in how they include the Hercules Webcam Station Evolution and Hercules Xtra Controller EX software tools.

What the two do have as a differing factor is the sensor: the HD Sunset has a 5-megapixel sensor for still shots, while the HD Exchange can take 3 megapixel photos.

Of course, since they are webcams, the main purpose of the products is to record video, and they both do so without issue.

In fact, they are both capable of recording streams in a quality of 720p (resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels at 30 frames per second).

There are even some extra perks that Hercules decided to throw in, hoping to reel in more customers.

The 3X digital zoom isn't really that unique in itself, not with so many pocket cameras supporting 5x or much more. What might stand out, however, is the face-tracking technology.

Other specifications include a noise-canceling microphone, USB connectivity and 360° horizontal/30° vertical rotation.

The Hercules HD Exchange and HD Sunset already have their product pages ready and waiting to be studied by prospective customers (here and here).

As for actually buying one of them, interested consumers will have to be willing to part with 29.99 Euro or 39.99 Euro, respectively.
