The 2006 Champions League final is less than 2 days away. On Wednesday night, in front of a French crowd at Stade de France, Europe will cheer their winners.

The extraterrestrial football of Barcelona will face the pragmatic and unbeaten Arsenal defense. The best two teams in the League this season - no doubt about it - will fight for the European Crown.

After a great run in the Group stages, Barcelona managed to reach the final of the competition without defeat. Led by the perfect game of Ronaldinho and Eto`o, the Spanish side has the better chance of conquering the trophy, in the eyes of football viewers and sports betting companies.

But there's more. The French star of Arsenal, Thierry Henry, admitted earlier today that Barcelona has the first chance of winning the final:
"We beat Real Madrid and Villareal, and it was tough, but Barcelona tops every one of them by far. They are the best team in the world at the moment, in terms of their game and the brilliant players they've got. And they've managed to remain a team, even if they have got superb individuals". But that shouldn't get Arsenal fans into despair.

The Londoners have not conceded a goal in their last 10 consecutive games in the competition. With this record backing them into the final, the English side could have something to hope for on Wednesday. In the last 4 years though, the history of the matches between the two teams shows Barca as clear favorites. The Catalans managed to draw once and win two out of three against Arsenal.

On the other hand, Henry's declarations may be more than just fair-play talk before the final. It is known that the Frenchman will most certainly leave Arsenal this summer, and a move to Barcelona was brought into discussion these days. Referring to that aspect alone, Ronaldinho said: "I'd like to have him on my side. He is a magnificent player and I just love his handling the play on that field. I admire him as a player and as a man. He reminds me of myself".
