14 DAY TRIAL // Henry Cavill, aka Superman from the upcoming Zack Snyder film “Man of Steel,” is officially off the market again. Shortly after rumors started making the rounds that he was dating Gina Carano, the pair made the first official appearance as a couple on the red carpet.
It happened at the Critics’ Choice Awards 2013, held last night at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, as the photo attached to this article will confirm.
Cavill is also known for his work on “The Tudors,” while Carano is a martial arts expert who got her big acting break with “Haywire,” for which she was also nominated at the aforementioned awards show for Best Action Actress.
Useless to say, they make an incredibly good looking couple.
Henry was at the Critics’ Choice to present an award with Nina Dobrev, which, in turn, doubles as promo work for “Man of Steel.” Gina showed up as his date, in the hope to take home an award – unfortunately, she lost.
Both Cavill and Carano are known for keeping their personal life under wraps, but it is known that he was engaged to be married last year. He and Ellen Whitaker ended the engagement in August, and he met Gina in September, the Daily Mail says.
The two are quite smitten with each other, an insider dishes for the tab.
“Henry dated a London estate agent called Jessica after Ellen, but they split up. He met Gina in September and they’ve been taking it slowly since then. It’s early days but he’s quite taken with her,” the spy says.
Admittedly, Ellen is still sore over the breakup and did not take the news that Henry had moved on and gone public with Gina too kindly – but that’s just speculation for now.
With the awards season in progress and upcoming “Man of Steel” promo appearances, expect more on this incredibly good looking new couple.
