14 DAY TRIAL // Hearing that Henry Cavill, star of the recent “Man of Steel,” and Kaley Cuoco, aka the hottie on “The Big Bang Theory,” were dating was a shock because they seemed a very unlikely couple. News of their breakup is just as surprising.
Both E! News and People magazine confirm that the two are no longer together, merely 2 weeks after word of the romance broke in the media.
“Cue the big breakup theories. Kaley Cuoco and Henry Cavill have split up, a source confirms exclusively to E! News,” writes the e-zine.
“The attractive pair had only been outed as a couple barely two weeks ago, prompting a flurry of speculation as to just how long the Man of Steel star had been romancing the actress,” the same publication says.
However, at the time the first rumors came out, insiders were saying they’d only been going out for a short while, with several people even hinting that this might not be more than just a summer fling.
It wasn’t even that, though, to speak the truth, they did get more attention as a couple than many other celebrity pairs do in years.
“Meanwhile, we’re hearing that Cavill and Cuoco remain friends after a few dates together—almost all of which seem to have been captured by paparazzi!” E! says.
People magazine confirms the story, noting that their source can’t give a reason for the split.
As we also reported a while back, before this brief but intensely mediated fling, Henry Cavill dated Gina Carano, breaking it off with her without a word of it coming out in the press.
Cuoco, on the other hand, ended her engagement to Josh Renisk, and then dated Bret Bollinger for a while.
Word has it they were both single when they started dating, but some voices still said that he probably cheated on Gina with Kaley.
Now that the new romance is already over, we will probably never know for certain.
