Robert Pattinson has been dethroned. Now that “The Twilight Saga” is over, the British actor has lost the crown of Hottest Man of the Year by Glamour UK magazine to Henry Cavill, the new Superman in Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel.”

Readers of the magazine were asked to vote for their favorite male stars for the year that’s about to end and, as they always do, they complied. The result should really not come as a surprise for, even if “Man of Steel” was an underperformer where Warner Bros. is concerned, it did cement Cavill’s reputation as a huge Hollywood star.

With the sequel, “Batman vs. Superman,” scheduled for 2015, his star will only shine brighter from here on, so expect to see him in more magazines, topping even more charts.

Until 2013, Robert Pattinson held the top stop on Glamour UK’s chart for 4 years in a row, but he’s now down to number two. It’s still a respectable position that speaks volumes to his popularity and how it remains almost unadulterated post-“Twilight,” especially considering that Robert hasn’t been doing too much press since the franchise ended, or public appearances for that matter.

The third position is occupied by Liam Hemsworth from “The Hunger Games,” aka Miley Cyrus’ gorgeous ex-fiancé, with the other two entries in top 5 being Tom Hiddleston of “Thor” and Benedict Cumberbatch of “Sherlock” fame.

One Direction’s Harry Styles, “Thor” himself Chris Hemsworth, the ever-so-dashing Idris Elba, Jamie Campbell Bower from “Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” and Justin Bieber round up the top 10.

The remaining 10 positions are also packed with gorgeous men and accomplished professionals, like: Charlie Hunnam (“Sons of Anarchy”), Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer, Johnny Depp, Olly Murs, Michael Fassbender, Channing Tatim, Rafael Nadal, Matt Smith, and Robert Downey Jr.

Incidentally, “Iron Man 3” was Bing’s most searched movie for both the US and the UK so, yes, saying that 2013 was an amazing year for Robert Downey Jr. would not be an understatement.
