Microsoft is asking C# or Visual Basic developers which are also subscribers to MSDN to contribute with their input to the future development of the company’s developer portal. According to the software giant, devs will be offered the opportunity to influence with their feedback the future designs and functionality of MSDN. Microsoft is looking for developers to actually visit its Redmond campus in order to provide feedback, as opposite to an online approach for harvesting input.

“The Product Quality and Online Engineering Research team is conducting a series of product evaluations for Developers who code in C# or Visual Basic and subscribe to MSDN,” a member of the Product Quality and Online Engineering Research team stated. “This study will run January 5th -15th, 2009 on Microsoft's main campus in Redmond, WA. Study sessions will last approximately 2 hours, scheduled at your convenience.”

Microsoft has made an email address available for signing up in a usability study session scheduled to start today and last until January 15th. Participants need to send their name and contact information in an email to uccoord at microsoft.com, and use "MSDN" in the subject line. Of course, the Redmond company is ready to trade developers that will take part in the usability study sessions a range of software products, including Windows 7 and Visual Studio. Developers living near Redmond are obviously favored when it comes down to the MSDN series of product evaluations that Microsoft is conducting.

“We value your time and feedback! All scheduled participants will receive a gratuity item from a select list of popular Microsoft hardware and software including: Visual Studio Professional 2008, Project Standard 2007, Vista Ultimate Edition, Windows Home Server, Xbox 360 Games, and more--Windows 7 available in January,” the Product Quality and Online Engineering Research team representative added.
