Hello Kitty Online Gets Premium Edition

Sanrio Digital, the creator if the Hello Kitty Online MMO, has announced that the game is now accessible to fans of the character who live in North America and in Europe and that a Premium Edition of the game is now available at retail, providing an alternative to the free downloadable client.

The new officially named Hello Kitty Online Premium Edition package comes in a collectible box specifically designed to appeal to fans and includes:

- the game client on a DVD
- an game manual of about 83 pages in full color which guides new comers through the game
- collector's postcards that can be sent out to friends or kept by fans
- players will get a code allowing them to choose one of the four exclusive in game virtual pets that can provide companionship through the narrative
- 15 dollars offered in the form of Sanrio Cash Points designed to allow gamers to get some nice premium items for the character the player will create

Robert Ferrari, who is the vice president of publishing and business development at Sanrio Digital, stated, “Sanrio Digital has created an entertaining digital world for our fans to engage with Hello Kitty and Sanrio friends in a truly social gaming environment. To celebrate Sanrio’s 50th anniversary, we are excited to launch Hello Kitty Online and offer our Premium Edition Retail SKU to both current and soon-to-be fans.”

Hello Kitty Online is a MMO which allows gamers to create their own character and then meet up with well known Hello Kitty companions as he battles and old and powerful source of evil.

There are a lot of exciting locations to explore, modeled after Tokyo, Paris and London, with Hello Kitty, Badtz-Maru, Keroppi, My Melody and Cinnamoroll all appearing at some point.

The Hello Kitty game also includes a lot of social options, including creating videos and sharing them and creating a Kitty powered e-mail address.
