It doesn't take a genius to see that the Newman M6000 looks like a cheap PMP. The M6000 features a 4.3 inch with a 480 x 272 pixel TFT LCD screen with 16 million colors, I just wonder how it feels to watch a movie on this screen.

Don't expect a sleek design, as this is a bulky born player, sporting 142 x80 x 26mm, so it seems to be rather large. You might feel it's quite solid while holding it.

It reveals a black serious appearance, which probably makes it more appealing to men than to women. It sports on board video decoder chip EM851 from Sigma Designs and delivers support for MPEG1 (DAT, MPG, MPEG), MPEG2 (DVD) MPEG4 (MP4, AVI) besides the DVD native format of the M6000, but is also compatible with the popular MP3, WMA and OGG file formats.

It also provides the user with additional simultaneous lyrics option, allowing anyone to sing along with his/her favorite artist. Since it comes with an integrated microphone, the player can record memos of your friends, but don't expect professional quality of the recording.

It also comes with a USB port and it's capable of playing up to five hours of video content and about 500 hours for the audio recording in the 40GB version. It works with an integrated lithium-polymer battery and a full recharge lasts about 6 hours to bring 10 hours of continuous playback session.

Surprisingly, the player goes by the name Imax T7000. It comes in two different versions, a 60 GB and a 80 GB storage capacity, according to the user's taste and needs. The player is out for about 250 bucks!
