Considered a rumor a few weeks ago, the announcement that the Diablo team, currently belonging to Flagship Studios, will launch Hellgate London, has been officially announced in a press release from Namco Hometek.

Bill Roper, the man behind Diablo, is convinced that this game will revolutionize the RPG genre.

Hellgate: London takes place in London, a city devastated by the demons' attack, where the survivors of the human race must use a combination of science and magic to resist.
The story evolves around Templar, a secret organization, which has foreseen the future and it will lead the resistance against demons.

Although it's a RPG, the game will be played from first-person perspective, trying in this way to combine the advantages
of both genres.

But the most important aspects of the game are related to the dynamic generation of levels and quests, which is added by an interesting spell system and a large number of weapons (over 100).

By dynamically generating weapons, Hellgate: Londond gives players the possibility to create a unique hero. And even though there will be several classes of weapons, the game makers promise they will be completely different.

Just like the weapons, levels and monsters will also be dynamically generated, which promises a series of interesting experiences, especially in multiplayer mode.

The first public demonstrations of Hellgate: London will take place at E3 Expo.
