14 DAY TRIAL // Age has nothing to do with it: at 66, actress Dame Helen Mirren bested the likes of Pippa Middleton and Jennifer Lopez in a poll meant to determine who has the “Body of the Year.” Mirren has it, obviously.
Conducted by LA Fitness gym on 2,000 people, the poll revealed that Mirren is considered to be the fittest female celebrity, while Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls ranked at the opposite pole, coming in at number 10.
As far as male celebrities are concerned, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that David Beckham ranked the highest, while Simon Cowell barely came in at number 10, CBS News informs.
While Mirren got 17.65 percent of all the votes for the ultimate title in her “category,” supermodel Elle MacPherson, also named “The Body,” ranked second with 10.6 percent.
Kelly Brook, the British glamour girl who made curves hot again, is a rather distant third with 8.35 percent, with Jennifer Lopez coming up next with 6.6 percent.
Petite Cheryl Cole rounds up the top five with 5.35 percent. The other female hotties making it into the top ten are as follows: Myleene Klass (4.2 percent), Holly Willoughby (4.1 percent), Pippa Middleton (4 percent), Kate Winslet (3.9 percent) and Nicole Scherzinger (3.8 percent).
As noted above, David Beckham ranked the highest in the men’s chart, getting 21 percent of the votes of respondents. James Bond star Daniel Craig comes in second with 15.75 percent.
Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Peter Andre, David Hasselhoff, Rafael Nadal, Ryan Reynolds, Robbie Williams and Simon Cowell also made it on the list, in this particular order.
Back to Mirren, it’s not really that surprising that she continues to top beauty and fitness polls: in March last year, she came very close to beating none other than Megan Fox for Esquire’s title of the year’s Hottest Woman.
