Helal Linux 3.0, an Ubuntu-based operating system with support for Arabic languages that has both GNOME Shell interface, as well as the GNOME Classic one, has been released.

Being powered by Linux kernel 3.2, the most important features of Helal Linux are of course its desktop environments, GNOME 3.4 and GNOME Classic 3.4. Highlights of Helal Linux 3.0:

· Helal control center, for English and Arabic, has been improved; · Chmviewkit was added to view chm files; · Some Ubuntu apps, such as Ubuntu Software Center, Totem, Rhythmbox, and other, have been removed; · Nvidia-Optimus is now supported in Helal using Bumblebee; · Wi-Fi drivers have been added; · LibreOffice 3.5.3.2 was added; · GIMP 2.8 was added; · Mozilla Firefox 12.0 was added.
