The secret to staying relevant when you’re in reality television is, as former “The Hills” star Heidi Montag found out, to be willing to talk about absolutely everything happening in your life at one point or another. If you have nothing to share, you may always take some creative liberties with that.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are making a comeback to the small screen, this time on a show meant to help couples with problems work them out and stay together. They will appear on the new season of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality stars on WE tv.

New episodes will air in early 2015, Us Weekly reports.

Heidi and Spencer have been fighting over children

Because Heidi and Spencer literally faked their divorce some years ago (she even filed the papers and everything), they can’t go on a reality show and claim they’re having issues of this type again because no one would believe them, and as such, no one would tune in.

So they’re dealing with a different but just as serious problem this time: the next stage of their life as a family, the decision to have babies or not. Because they obviously can’t deal with it on their own and they need the money, they will be airing their dirty laundry on TV again, where they will be receiving counseling from a professional.

“Heidi desperately wants [children] now, while Spencer is more interested in going out and having fun,” the network says in a statement.

Spencer and Heidi, we should note, are now so broke they’re actually living with his parents. Apparently, that’s not stopping him from going out and “having fun” and refusing to listen to his wife’s pleas of starting a family.

The infamous duo will also “face demons from their past that are still affecting them now, and in turn, suffocating their relationships.” Joining them on the new season will be Aviva Drescher and her husband, former stars of Real Housewives of New York City.

Nothing has been the same since “The Hills”

Not too many years ago, Heidi and Spencer were like the Kardashians of today: not a day went by without them making at least a handful of appearances in the media (tabloid or not), and they were commanding thousands of dollars for an appearance of just a few minutes.

When attention in them started to die down, Heidi went and transformed herself into a real-life Barbie doll through plastic surgery, and that was the moment when she started falling out of favor with the public, because she’d crossed the line into the grotesque.

After the 10-procedures-in-a-day story came the fake divorce and then an ill-advised attempt at making a name for herself as a pop singer, an endeavor for which she paid out of her own pocket and bankrupted herself in the process. Useless to say, she didn’t make it as a pop star.

In the past couple of years, Heidi and Spencer have only been making sporadic appearances, either on US TV talking about their glory days and how they burned through their millions (and the lessons they learned from it), or across the pond in Celebrity Big Brother and other assorted shows.

This new project would seem to suggest that they’ve given up hope on the UK for their comeback, and are looking at the US again.
