Heidi Montag with her old F-cup implants: she’s now downgraded to a D-cup for health reasons

Some years ago, Heidi Montag was basking in all the attention she got from the media for going under the knife and getting an almost record-breaking 10 surgical interventions in just one session. She has gone under the knife once more, this time, to downsize her huge implants.

Montag shot to fame as a reality star and, in a very short while, she and husband Spencer Pratt became tabloid fodder for the publicity stunts and their personal life.

She also tried to make it as a singer and actress but, when nothing else panned out, she attempted to extend her 15 minutes of fame by drastically altering her appearance and transforming herself into a living Barbie through plastic surgery.

She’s come to regret that decision and she’s been very open about how much she regrets getting extensive and invasive surgery for such a ridiculous reason; today, she’s also sorry she’s done because of health complications.

Heidi spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her reasons for getting breast surgery once more and even allowed them to trail her into the OR with a camera for a new special on bad plastic surgery among celebrities.

She explains that her F-cup implants weighed about 3 pounds (1.3 kg) each, which means they put a lot of strain on her back. She’d come to suffer from back and muscle pain, and from numbness in one arm from a pinched nerve.

In the end, Heidi realized that getting the huge implants removed and having them replaced with a more reasonably sized D-cup was the only solution, though she believes the damage is already done.

“I do regret getting the implants. My new doctor was like, ‘You should never have been allowed by the doctor to get implants this big.’ I put my security in my breast size instead of my confidence,” she tells ET Online.

Today, after 5 hours in surgery and a $22,000 (€16,264) bill, Heidi is happy again, having had a literal weight lifted off her chest. She vows she’ll never go under the knife for the rest of her life.
