Supermodel Heidi Klum is now on vacation in Oahu, Hawaii with her family, meaning her kids, her bodyguards, her nannies and her boyfriend. One incident nearly ended in tragedy, had it not been for Heidi’s quick thinking and even quicker response time.

ET Online has photos of the model rescuing her 7-year-old son Henry from drowning, as he and two of the nannies had been swept under by a giant wave.

“Heidi Klum and her family have been enjoying a relaxing vacation in paradise, but the supermodel/TV host quickly sprung into action Sunday to rescue her oldest son Henry, who got caught up in a dangerous riptide at a beach on the Hawaiian island of Oahu,” ET writes.

“Two of Klum's nannies also got into trouble and had to be helped from the water,” notes the same publication.

Photos available at the link in the second paragraph capture the dramatic moment when Heidi rushed to rescue Henry, as one bodyguard went to get the nannies.

In a statement to the same media outlet, Heidi confirms the above story.

“We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water. Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely,” she says.

Ex-husband Seal is yet to say anything publicly about the incident, though, considering the scathing comments he made right after they split, if he does say something it will probably not be very nice.

Heidi and Seal were together for 8 years – 7 of which married – when they split in 2012.

Initially, both said the breakup was amicable but Seal changed his mind shortly afterwards, more or less accusing Heidi of cheating on him, which, he hinted, led to the end of their marriage.

Heidi never addressed the allegations.

She’s been dating her bodyguard since September 2012.
