Surprise, surprise - Models.com just named Heidi Klum as the sexiest model in the world. I was actually kidding with the "surprise, surprise" line - it's not that this comes as a big shock to anyone who has used a computer at least once in the past year and has even the slightest idea about Heidi's killer looks and antics. And yes, the beautiful, German-born model has managed to prove that she's more than just a hot body that got lucky. "The icon they call Heidi Inc is no mere sexy mortal, but a force of nature", the panel from industry website Models.com. stated, on announcing their decision. "All hail". Well, I couldn't have put it better myself.

Not surprisingly, Brazilian supermodels Gisele Bundchen, 27, and Adriana Lima, 26 came in at number two and three. Talk about a Victoria's Secret monopoly! Gisele was described by the judges as "she of the cascading hair, the shimmering skin, the impossible body and the effervescent personality" - again, an accurate description as far as I'm concerned - and yes, it's actually good to see a website that represents an industry that focuses almost exclusively on looks and not on brains mention the "personality" issue. Makes a nice change to know that they don't actually like their women dumb - as medieval as that may sound.

While I definitely see the point of the first three choices when it comes to the planet's sexiest ladies, I honestly don't understand what Tyra Banks is doing at number four on the list. She may look good occasionally, but the would-be Oprah is widely known for being (if you'll pardon my French) a self-centered narcissistic idiot, who mercilessly exploits the people she gets on her show and does most of the talking herself. And if you think I have a grudge against Tyra, here's a little reminder of just how much she sold her soul to the devil for fame and fortune.

File this under "something to laugh at": tantrum-throwing Naomi Campbell came in at number 12 and was the highest ranked Briton in the top, while frumpy Kate Moss was ranked 18th. "That body. It has made grown men cry, editors sigh and fellow models fume, but when all is said and done, Naomi Campbell is one of the sexiest models of all time" the judges claim. Well, they may be right, but I still don't think hitting people over their heads with mobile phones is even remotely sexy. But I may be wrong. What do you think?
