As most female stars, and an increasing number of male ones as well, are making their visits to the plastic surgeon’s more frequent, Victoria’s Secret model Heidi Klum says she has and never will do anything to her body or face to look younger. Quite on the contrary, she explains in her latest interview with
Ocean Drive, she is more than happy to be growing old.
With her 36th birthday just around the corner, in June, and a gorgeous family with three children (the fourth is reportedly on the way), Heidi, a longstanding presence on the fashion scene, says age is of no consequence to her. This, of course, comes in a sharp contrast to the attitude most women in showbiz have towards growing old, with even models succumbing to pressure and turning to cosmetic surgery to slow down time as much as possible.
“Most people go to the doctor and do Botox, Restylane, and silicone. I’ve never done anything to my body or face. I want to grow old; I don’t want to change my appearance.” Klum tells the aforementioned magazine. That is not to say though that she has anything against those women who turn to technology to look younger for longer; just that, for her, that is simply not the way to go. “Everyone has the right to do what they wish, but personally, I would rather use good products.” Heidi further says.
Of course, this is not the first time that Klum shows that she does not have such a solid reputation in the industry for nothing. A successful businesswoman and model alike, the blonde beauty has often emphasized that everyone is free to do and say what they saw fit, even when their words came as
a direct attack on her, as it happened recently, when German designer Wolfgang Joop said she was too “fat” to be a runway model.
Actress Brooke Shields, on the other hand, has recently spoken out on
the same issue, revealing that she for one was not at all happy to see the years go by. Moreover, the star stated that any woman saying she embraced her aging looks was most likely lying because such a thing was not possible under any circumstance.
“I’m proud of my longevity more than anything else. There’s a lot to be said for endurance. I’m trying to find the beauty in the whole picture rather than the crow’s feet. Sure, I wish I had the face I had a decade ago, but I don’t. People say, ‘I love my wrinkles.’ I don’t love my wrinkles – come on!” Shields was telling the media a short while back.
