Hedinux GNU/Linux is an independently developed desktop OS with ease-of-use as its prime objective.

Hedinux GNU/Linux is a French distribution inspired by the Linux From Scratch and Beyond Linux From Scratch books. It is optimized for i686 computers and has its own packages management system.

Hedinux has the latest versions of GNOME, KDE, XFCE and Enlightenment 0.17. It is available in a Live CD with GNOME and XFCE desktop environments, with the possibility to install the distribution via Internet. Hedinux also has an Install CD with all the packages (except KDE, but allows the option of installing it from the Internet) to install without the net.

The latest version includes many pieces of software:
