Ubisoft has confirmed that a new creative director has been placed in charge of its upcoming Rainbow Six: Patriots tactical shooter, in the form of Jean-Sebastien Decant, who previously worked on projects like Heavy Rain or Driver: San Francisco.

Rainbow Six: Patriots was finally announced last year, after some intense rumors. The game, which is set to appear in 2013, portrays a different sort of story, as opposed to its predecessors, where a group of American terrorists are trying to take down the U.S. government.

Ubisoft has now confirmed, via CVG, that it has named a new creative director for the Patriots project, as Jean-Sebastien Decant is now in charge of the upcoming shooter.

Decant previously worked as a designer on Heavy Rain with studio Quantic Dream and helped create Driver: San Francisco last year alongside Ubisoft Reflections.

Both titles delivered some interesting experiences, so it’s great to hear that Decant’s experience will be put to use with the new Rainbow 6: Patriots game.
