Heather Mills to Settle for 10 million

A close friend of the campaigner, soon to be former wife of Beatles member told a British newspaper that Mills is sick and tired of all the bad publicity she has been getting lately. The main preoccupation of the woman who spent four years being happily married to Sir Paul McCartney is, at the moment, their 2-year-old daughter, Bea.

After the British press bitterly attacked for her rather questionable past, her pornographic book and allegations that she was once a high maintenance prostitute who made a fortune from having sex with arms dealers and international terrorists, Heather apparently decided to go for an amiable divorce and to accept only a 10 million pay-off. The other option would have been a legal battle which, if won, would have brought her almost 200 million from her ex-husband's fortune, estimated at 825 million.

The same source states that Mills and McCartney have maintained contact ever since their public split in May, all in view of the child's best interest. Set to move on with her life, the model has already made up her mind to buying a house in Midhurst, West Sussex, only 70 miles from the estate that, only a few months ago, she used to call home.

The property is not on sale yet, but Heather's friend declared that she has already found out everything about it and will definitely make an offer for it because, in this way, it will make Sir Paul's visits (to his daughter) much more easier.
